Paper Plate Cow

Bird's Nest

Take a brown paper bag and fold it down.  Shred small pieces of brown paper and use sticks to put inside of the nest.  Using clay make the eggs for the nest.  This is super easy and it is super cute!

Seasons Sun Catchers

We were learning about different seasons, so we made sun catchers using pictures from every season.  All you need is:

- Wax paper
-Tissue paper
- Frames using different shapes
-Liquid starch

Cover the wax paper with tissue paper and liquid starch, put another piece of wax paper over it, then put in the frame.

*each picture needs 2 frames, (one for the back and one for the front)

Horseshoe Prints

We took sponges and cut them into the shape of a horseshoe.
And had the kids decorate a huge piece of white paper using the horse shoe shaped sponges and different color paints.  The kids really enjoyed this one and they all turned out really nice!

Blurry little butterfly!

Need:
Paper
Paint
Popsicle Stick
Pipe Cleaner
Markers
Glue

Make a hand print onto the paper, cut it out, glue the popsicle stick and circle on, attach the antennas, give the cute butterfly a cute face!

Class Rainbow

We all made a rainbow!  We used hand prints, dot art, and stamps!  As they were making this beautiful rainbow we sang the rainbow song!

Bessie the Cow

I made a huge Cow and we taped to our art easel.  Then we filled latex gloves with white paint, and tied the glove to the utter of the paper cow.
Then we laid black paper on the ground under the utters and poked little holes in the tips of the fingers on the gloves.
We had the kids sit on a stool and gave them a cowboy hat, and then "milked" the cow.  The pictures turned out really neat.  Then they wrote there names with white crayons.

Thanks for your hard work Bessie the Cow!

Slithery SNAKES!

Need:
Paper plates
Construction paper
Scissors
Hole Punch
String
Glue

Cut the paper plate into a swirly shape.  Have the kids glue square pieces of construction paper to the snake.  Incourage them to make a pattern with the different colors!  This is helpful to say to the kids when they are gluing, "A dot, A dot, A dot will do."

Hole punch the center of the snake and hang from the ceiling.
The kids love this!

Finger Painting. Yikes.

Step 1: put paint on the tables.
Step 2: Finger paint it up
Step 3: Lay the paper on top of the table
Step 4: Peel the paper from the table, while saying TA-DA!

Summer Trees

To show the different seasons we have the kids paint trees.  Paint your forearm brown, for the trunk, paint your hand green, for the top of the tree, then paint your finger tips red, for the apples... they loved it!

Sunshine all around me...

We are learning about day and night.  So we made suns.  This was really fun, we got to talk to the kids about what happens during the day while they were painting.  And we got to use messy messy glitter, I love glitter...

Spring has Sprung!

We had the kids decorate the sun and cloud with items that were yellow/orange and blue.  They used paint, stickers, shapes, flowers, feathers, string, beads, stamps, basically anything we could find!  This has been over a week long project and it is still in the process of being completed.  We still have to put up the top of the tree and the butterflies.  The kids used watercolor paints and painted the tulips, and used pastels to color their beautiful kites.  This wall makes me happy when I see it!  A lot of hard work from the kids went into this wall....

Let's Go Fly a Kite...

My kites, I think this is my favorite!  I love the butterflies and bows... I made two of each butterfly and stapled them in the middle, so it has a 3D effect.  Pretty exciting!  Also, I ran out of border on the upper left side so I had to improvise...

Day and Night...

Here is my day and night bulletin board.  We have yet to put the kids artwork up yet.  I made the silver stars by using a di-cut and glueing foil to white paper and using a star shape to cut them out...

My day board looks a little beat up because the elementary kids walk by it everyday and break it, and my heart...

Junlge Mania

I made a palm tree and vine to go in our circle time area...
